As we work in the NHS, we provide the majority of our service in the evenings or at weekends.
We offer the following services:
|Free telephone consultation
This is your opportunity to speak to us and ask any questions you may have about your child’s communication, and the services we offer. As part of this consultation you can find out whether your child requires an initial assessment and details of our fees.
Following your free telephone consultation, you may decide you would like a full assessment. We aim to see your child at a time and a place that suits you. An initial assessment typically lasts between 1 and 1.5 hours where we look at all areas of your child’s communication and play. We aim for each initial assessment to be enjoyable for your child and informative to you, as parents. Following an initial assessment, we will provide a brief report of your child’s strengths and needs and recommendations to support your child’s communication. If we feel it is appropriate, we will discuss further therapy options with you.
Following initial assessment and discussion with you, we will devise a therapy plan, created individually for your child’s needs. Therapy plans can be designed to be delivered weekly, fortnightly or monthly in your own home. To ensure you and your child get the most from therapy, we provide games and activities for you to enjoy with your child to support them between therapy sessions. As an alternative to regular therapy, we can provide a more long-term programme for you to carry out with your child which can be reviewed and updated on request.
We offer parent workshops certified by The Hanen Centre®; It Takes Two To Talk® (ITTT) and Target Word®. Parent workshops provide an opportunity to meet other parents, share experiences and learn how to develop your child’s communication skills in a supportive environment. Below you will find more information about the workshops we provide.
